This artwork by Giuseppe Cades achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2005. In the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del auction, the work Venus Weeping Over The Body of Adonis sold for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,665.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Cades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Briseis Leaving Achilles' Tent in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 253,000.00 (€ 170,473.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Cades erzielte im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del wurde die Arbeit Venus Weeping Over The Body of Adonis für GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.665,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Cades erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Briseis Leaving Achilles' Tent im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 253.000,00 (€ 170.473,69).
