In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School, which included the work Three bishop Saints by Giuseppe Cades. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,563.55), 60% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Cades - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Briseis Leaving Achilles' Tent, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 253,000.00 (€ 170,473.69).
