The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,256.64), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Girolamo Gianni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian panoramic View Of Constantinople, View From Beyazit in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 186,676.87).
