Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paesaggio orientale by Girolamo Gianni was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Girolamo Gianni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italian panoramic View Of Constantinople, View From Beyazit in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 186,676.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paesaggio orientale von Girolamo Gianni im Juni 2021 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.200,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Girolamo Gianni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italian panoramic View Of Constantinople, View From Beyazit im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 186.676,87).
