However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Paolo Castelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A melon, peaches, plums, quinces and grapes by a tree; and Grapes, apples and peaches in a wooded landscape, which sold at auction in October 2006 for USD 192,000.00 (€ 150,317.08).
