Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Canale lombardo by Giovanni Frangi was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,200.00 – 2,600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Frangi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foresta Domestica in October 2012 with an auction result of EUR 31,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Canale lombardo von Giovanni Frangi im Dezember 2014 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.200,00 – 2.600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Frangi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foresta Domestica im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.000,00.
