Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Tangenziale by Giovanni Frangi was auctioned at Il Ponte in July 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 1,200.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 3,800.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Frangi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Foresta Domestica in October 2012 with an auction result of EUR 31,000.00.
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Tangenziale von Giovanni Frangi im Juli 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 1.200,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 3.800,00 mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Frangi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Foresta Domestica im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.000,00.
