Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Three soldiers riding in an estuary by Giovanni Fattori. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,921.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Fattori achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 240,750.00.
