Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horsemen by Giovanni Fattori was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 43,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Fattori have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 240,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horsemen von Giovanni Fattori kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 43.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Fattori auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 240.750,00.
