The auction ended at the price of EUR 300.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 250.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Fattori achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 240,750.00.

Die Arbeit The letter at camp von Giovanni Fattori wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings and Engravings bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 300,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 250,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Fattori erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 240.750,00.
