In May 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Italian paesaggio Con Cavalli by Giovanni Fattori. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,942.07), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Fattori have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 240,750.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian paesaggio Con Cavalli von Giovanni Fattori zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.942,07) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Fattori auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cavalleggero E Carabiniere A Cavallo im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 240.750,00.
