In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work Recto: A Kneeling Bearded Man And A Putto With Arms Raised; Verso: Three Putti In Flight Below A Cloud sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,013.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Gaulli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 569,000.00 (€ 421,481.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Gaulli erzielte im Januar 2011 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit Recto: A Kneeling Bearded Man And A Putto With Arms Raised; Verso: Three Putti In Flight Below A Cloud für USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.013,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00.
