Sold at the upper estimate price
In January 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Lot and his daughters by Giovanni Battista Gaulli. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,492.23), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Gaulli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 569,000.00 (€ 421,481.48).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lot and his daughters von Giovanni Battista Gaulli zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.492,23) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Gaulli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 569.000,00 (€ 421.481,48).
