It achieved a price of USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,461.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Battista Gaulli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 569,000.00 (€ 421,481.48).

Die Arbeit Five Putti, Bearing Ecclesiastical Attributes von Giovanni Battista Gaulli wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.461,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Gaulli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 569.000,00 (€ 421.481,48).
