Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: A Nymph And A Cupid Dragging A Satyr; Verso: A Satyr by Giovanni Battista Cipriani was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,158.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Cipriani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boreas And Oreithyia in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 352,800.00 (€ 302,910.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Recto: A Nymph And A Cupid Dragging A Satyr; Verso: A Satyr von Giovanni Battista Cipriani kam im Juli 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
