Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Putti: Allegories Of Summer And Winter by Giorgio Vasari for USD 346,000.00 (€ 319,423.93). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Giorgio Vasari have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2000 by the work The Pietà at USD 574,500.00 (€ 588,808.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Putti: Allegories Of Summer And Winter von Giorgio Vasari für USD 346.000,00 (€ 319.423,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Vasari wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Januar 2000 die Arbeit The Pietà mit USD 574.500,00 (€ 588.808,04).
