In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work The Nativity by Giorgio Vasari. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,297.76), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio Vasari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pietà in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 574,500.00 (€ 588,808.04).

Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Nativity von Giorgio Vasari zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.297,76) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Vasari erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pietà im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 574.500,00 (€ 588.808,04).
