Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Holy Family by Giorgio Vasari was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2009. The price achieved of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 103,541.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Vasari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Pietà in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 574,500.00 (€ 588,808.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Holy Family von Giorgio Vasari kam im Juli 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 103.541,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giorgio Vasari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Pietà im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 574.500,00 (€ 588.808,04).
