The work Pennello Piatto by Giorgio Griffa was auctioned at Christies in Milan in February 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 20,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giorgio Griffa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Verticale, which sold at auction in April last year for EUR 47,880.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pennello Piatto von Giorgio Griffa kam im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 20.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Griffa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Verticale beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für EUR 47.880,00 versteigert wurde.
