Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Obliquo by Giorgio Griffa was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in February 2020. The price achieved of EUR 9,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Griffa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Verticale in April last year with an auction result of EUR 47,880.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Obliquo von Giorgio Griffa kam im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giorgio Griffa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Verticale im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.880,00.
