This artwork by Giorgio Griffa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December 2021. In the Vente en ligne d'Art Contemporain auction, the work Linee orizzontali sold for EUR 23,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giorgio Griffa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Verticale, which sold at auction in April last year for EUR 47,880.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giorgio Griffa erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vente en ligne d'Art Contemporain wurde die Arbeit Linee orizzontali für EUR 23.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Griffa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Verticale beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für EUR 47.880,00 versteigert wurde.
