Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Il trovatore by Giorgio de Chirico. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,343.23), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio de Chirico achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 15,890,400.00 (€ 13,643,341.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il trovatore von Giorgio de Chirico zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 32.343,23) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio de Chirico erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.890.400,00 (€ 13.643.341,63).
