However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gillis Smak Gregoor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A traveller conversing with a milkmaid in a farmyard, in summer, which sold at auction in May 2000 for NLG 22,233.80 (€ 9,708.22).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von NLG 8.812,50 (€ 4.081,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gillis Smak Gregoor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A traveller conversing with a milkmaid in a farmyard, in summer beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für NLG 22.233,80 (€ 9.708,22) versteigert wurde.
