Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A Wooded Landscape With Figures On A Path, Farmhouses Beyond by Gillis Neyts. The price achieved of EUR 9,560.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gillis Neyts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A landscape with a monumental tree and an amorous couple in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,146.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With Figures On A Path, Farmhouses Beyond von Gillis Neyts zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.560,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gillis Neyts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A landscape with a monumental tree and an amorous couple im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.146,00).
