Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A village scene with cavaliers and elegant figures conversing in the foreground, a hunter shooting ducks on a pond to the left by Gillis Neyts. It changed hands for a price of EUR 18,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gillis Neyts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A landscape with a monumental tree and an amorous couple, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,146.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A village scene with cavaliers and elegant figures conversing in the foreground, a hunter shooting ducks on a pond to the left von Gillis Neyts zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 18.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gillis Neyts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A landscape with a monumental tree and an amorous couple beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.146,00) versteigert wurde.
