Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Two peasants by the sea by Gillis Neyts for USD 1,512.00 (€ 1,287.58). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings and Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gillis Neyts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A landscape with a monumental tree and an amorous couple in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,146.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two peasants by the sea von Gillis Neyts für USD 1.512,00 (€ 1.287,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gillis Neyts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A landscape with a monumental tree and an amorous couple im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.146,00).
