Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Giacomo Manzù achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in May last year. In the Arte moderna e contemporanea auction, the work Variazione sullo stesso tema sold for EUR 12,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Manzù achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giacomo Manzù erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea wurde die Arbeit Variazione sullo stesso tema für EUR 12.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
