Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giacomo Manzù could be acquired at Christies in Paris in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection auction, the work La tartaruga changed hands for EUR 4,410.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Manzù achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande cardinale seduto in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 421,750.00 (€ 671,843.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giacomo Manzù konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Centuries of Beauty - A Refined Private Collection wechselte die Arbeit La tartaruga für EUR 4.410,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Manzù erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande cardinale seduto im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.750,00 (€ 671.843,98).
