Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Capriccio with bridge and figures; Venice, view of the Isola del Lazzaretto nuovo by Giacomo Guardi was auctioned at Il Ponte in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Guardi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 148,527.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Capriccio with bridge and figures; Venice, view of the Isola del Lazzaretto nuovo von Giacomo Guardi im Oktober 2021 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Guardi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 148.527,04).
