In the The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale auction, the work Two Views Of Venice: The Church Of The Redentore; And The Island Of The Certosa sold for USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,683.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Guardi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 148,527.04).
