Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two views in the Venetian Lagoon: The harbor of Malamocco; and The Lazzaretto Vecchio by Giacomo Guardi was auctioned at Christies in New York in January this year. The price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,542.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Guardi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 148,527.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two views in the Venetian Lagoon: The harbor of Malamocco; and The Lazzaretto Vecchio von Giacomo Guardi kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 7.542,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Guardi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice, A View Of A Regatta On The Grand Canal Looking Towards The Rialto Bridge, With The Palazzo Balbi To The Left im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 148.527,04).
