Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction An American Journey: The Diann G. and Thomas A. Mann Collection of Photographic Masterworks, which included the work Sunshine in the House (Clarence H. White and family), 1913 by Gertrude Käsebier. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,339.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gertrude Käsebier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rodin, c. 1905, which sold at auction in February 2016 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,805.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion An American Journey: The Diann G. and Thomas A. Mann Collection of Photographic Masterworks durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunshine in the House (Clarence H. White and family), 1913 von Gertrude Käsebier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.339,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gertrude Käsebier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rodin, c. 1905 beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.805,30) versteigert wurde.
