Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Picnic in the garden by Gerda Tirén was auctioned at Bukowski in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 16,000.00 (€ 1,439.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerda Tirén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mallows by a Wall in July last year with an auction result of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Picnic in the garden von Gerda Tirén im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bukowski versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 16.000,00 (€ 1.439,16) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerda Tirén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mallows by a Wall im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.046,64).
