A top price for Gerda Tirén - as previously expected
The work Mallows by a Wall by Gerda Tirén was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Mallows by a Wall is the most expensive artwork by Gerda Tirén that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Mallows by a Wall von Gerda Tirén kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.046,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Mallows by a Wall das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gerda Tirén, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
