This artwork by Gerda Tirén achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2017. In the Important Spring Sale auction, the work Convalescent sold for SEK 55,000.00 (€ 5,706.77) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerda Tirén - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mallows by a Wall, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerda Tirén erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Spring Sale wurde die Arbeit Convalescent für SEK 55.000,00 (€ 5.706,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerda Tirén mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mallows by a Wall beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.046,64) versteigert wurde.
