Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Feuillages au soleil by Gerardo Chávez was sold in the Living Contemporary auction at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,930.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerardo Chávez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 40,320.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Feuillages au soleil von Gerardo Chávez wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Living Contemporary bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.930,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerardo Chávez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.320,00.
