Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition Surrealiste, 1947 by Gérard Vulliamy was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2007. The price achieved of EUR 248.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gérard Vulliamy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Violoniste III - 1948 in October 2014 with an auction result of EUR 2,860.00.
