Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sans Titre, 1976 by Gérard Vulliamy was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in March 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 400.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 386.00. Admittedly, works by Gérard Vulliamy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Violoniste III - 1948 in October 2014 with an auction result of EUR 2,860.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1976 von Gérard Vulliamy im März 2012 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 400,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 386,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gérard Vulliamy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Violoniste III - 1948 im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.860,00.
