Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A tulip, primroses, forget-me-not, roses, delphinium, buttercup, poppies, morning glory and other flowers in a basket with a dunnock's nest on a stone ledge by Gerard van Spaendonck for GBP 14,340.00 (€ 20,944.87). This price was achieved in the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerard van Spaendonck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life Of Roses, Hyacinth, Wallflower And Other Flowers In A Lapis Lazuli Vase; Still Life Of Narcissus, Hyacinth And Other Flowers In A Brown Porphyry Vase in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,261,946.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A tulip, primroses, forget-me-not, roses, delphinium, buttercup, poppies, morning glory and other flowers in a basket with a dunnock's nest on a stone ledge von Gerard van Spaendonck für GBP 14.340,00 (€ 20.944,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerard van Spaendonck erzielen.
