Despite a disappointment, a good price for Gérard Passet

When the work Arrivie du Pihans by Gérard Passet was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 525.48). Despite this disappointing result, Arrivie du Pihans is the most expensive artwork by Gérard Passet that we have observed at auction so far.

Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Gérard Passet

Als die Arbeit Arrivie du Pihans von Gérard Passet im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 360,00 (€ 525,48) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Arrivie du Pihans das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gérard Passet, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
