In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work THE ABSURDITY OF BEING by Geraldine Javier. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 121,856.68), 43% above the upper estimate. Other works by Geraldine Javier have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 151,677.58) in May 2010 for the work Ella amo' apasionadamente y fue correspondida (For she loved fiercely, and she is well-loved).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit THE ABSURDITY OF BEING von Geraldine Javier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 121.856,68) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Geraldine Javier haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 151.677,58) im Mai 2010 für die Arbeit Ella amo' apasionadamente y fue correspondida (For she loved fiercely, and she is well-loved) beobachtet.
