Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Crying by Geraldine Javier for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 39,568.49). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 380,000.00 – 550,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Geraldine Javier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ella amo' apasionadamente y fue correspondida (For she loved fiercely, and she is well-loved), which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 151,677.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
