Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century Paintings, which included the work Dutch A Still Life With Plums In A Basket by Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen. It changed hands for a price of EUR 24,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow roses and elderberries on a forest floor in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 114,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch A Still Life With Plums In A Basket von Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 24.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow roses and elderberries on a forest floor im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.000,00.
