Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An autumn bouquet with violets on a forest floor by Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow roses and elderberries on a forest floor in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 114,000.00.

Die Arbeit An autumn bouquet with violets on a forest floor von Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerardina Jacoba van de Sande Bakhuyzen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow roses and elderberries on a forest floor im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 114.000,00.
