In November 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Evening Auction, which included the work Pink Spotted Lily by Georgia O'Keeffe. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,813,300.00 (€ 6,036,413.57), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Georgia O'Keeffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 44,405,000.00 (€ 35,701,077.34).

Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink Spotted Lily von Georgia O'Keeffe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.813.300,00 (€ 6.036.413,57) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgia O'Keeffe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.405.000,00 (€ 35.701.077,34).
