This artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part I auction, the work Autumn Leaf II sold for USD 15,275,000.00 (€ 14,797,055.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgia O'Keeffe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 44,405,000.00 (€ 35,701,077.34).

Allen Collection Part I wurde die Arbeit Autumn Leaf II für USD 15.275.000,00 (€ 14.797.055,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgia O'Keeffe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 44.405.000,00 (€ 35.701.077,34) versteigert wurde.
