Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Oedipe Guidé Par Antigone Et Ismène by Georges Seurat was sold in the Œuvres sur Papier auction at Sothebys in Paris in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 18,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Seurat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) in November last year with an auction result of USD 149,240,000.00 (€ 144,570,376.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Oedipe Guidé Par Antigone Et Ismène von Georges Seurat wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Œuvres sur Papier bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 18.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Seurat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Poseuses, Ensemble (Petite version) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.240.000,00 (€ 144.570.376,83).
