In April 2017 Artcurial held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Sans Titre - 1928 by Georges Papazoff. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,400.00 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Georges Papazoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hommage Au Douanier Rousseau, Le Rêve De "La Bohemienne Endormie" - 1957 in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 63,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Artcurial die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1928 von Georges Papazoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.400,00 und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Papazoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hommage Au Douanier Rousseau, Le Rêve De "La Bohemienne Endormie" - 1957 im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 63.900,00.
