In March 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale, which included the work Composition by Georges Papazoff. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 32,760.00 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georges Papazoff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hommage Au Douanier Rousseau, Le Rêve De "La Bohemienne Endormie" - 1957 sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of EUR 63,900.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Georges Papazoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 32.760,00 und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georges Papazoff; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hommage Au Douanier Rousseau, Le Rêve De "La Bohemienne Endormie" - 1957 im Juni 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 63.900,00.
