Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Près de Vaison (Vaucluse) by Georges Kars was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,251.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Kars achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reiter und Flaneure im Park in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 97,600.00.

Die Arbeit Près de Vaison (Vaucluse) von Georges Kars wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.251,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Kars erzielen.
